DH worked when he was 16 and put all of his money in a guardian account, under his mom's name.  He never spent any of it.  So, there was a couple grand in there.  Well, years passed and we met, dated, and got engaged.  He asked his mom for the money to get me a ring.  Guess what?  The account is empty.  No JOKE.  She took his life savings and didn't bat an eyelash.

My MIL is a real psychotic.  The people I know think that she doesn't have a real good touch with reality.  I had a dog that I grew up with.  She is now 12 years old.  I have had her since she was a puppy.  My mom got a new dog and it used to attack my dog.  MIL asked us to let her house my dog until we got our own house, with the condition that we take the dog with us when we went.  Well, the time came that we had married and moved out.  When it came time to get my dog back, she refused.  She lied to our faces and said that she never told us we had to take her back.  She also overdosed my dog on her medication (she is epileptic).  She gave my dog a month's worth of pills in a week.  So, we began to dole the medication out to MIL, but she went to another vet and got a second prescription!  Then, when we forcibly removed my dog, she went nuts and dragged us into the vet's office and made this huge deal out of it.  DH gave her the dog back and excommunicated her.  Well, she called MY BOSS at HIS HOME and fussed because we wouldn't answer her calls.  All she wanted was to give us our Christmas presents.  It came to the point where I had to choose between my dog and my DH.  So, obviously, I chose my DH.  His mom chose the dog, and my DH knows it.

My MIL is one of those types who cross-stitches Christmas stockings for everyone in the family.  My SIL is like a flea, hopping from one man's bed to another.  Well, the MIL was cross-stitching one night and I came in (4 months pregnant - 5 months ago) and said, "Now you will have to start a stocking for the baby!"  She looked at me and said, "I'm sorry, (SIL's) BOYFRIEND comes first, because he was here first."  I was so stunned, I couldn't speak.  It was like being slapped in the face!  I wanted to say,"Before you finish it, she will have hopped on to another man!"

MIL's reaction to me being pregnant has always stumped me.  She claims to love kids, and everyone around her just dumps their kids off on her.  But when she found out that I was pregnant, she was the most negative person.  A year and a half later I found out why.  DH said that until that moment she had hoped that he would divorce me.  What a wonderful mother, wishing her son's marriage would fail.  Isn't she just the sweetest?  Everyone else thinks so.
